Going To Seed!

It happens in every garden when you turn your back – lovely flowers and edibles suddenly go from lush to lanky and then, before you know it,  you have seeds.  Learn how to harness plants’ natural tendency for next year’s garden.  Master Gardener Lara Hughey will discuss and demonstrate the basics of seed saving.  Edible gardening basics will also be covered.  And last but not least, we will be hosting our first Seed Swap, so be sure to bring any packets of  unused seed and find some new things to try next year!

This workshop will take place at San Pedro Cooperative Nursery School.  The address is 731 S. Averill Ave. (entrance on 8th St. next to First Presbyterian Church), San Pedro, CA 90732.

Time: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Cost: $5.  All proceeds to benefit the School, a wonderful nonprofit organization that benefits preschoolers and the local community.
